House No. 123 is conceived as a direct architectural response to the hot, arid climate of Lar and the desire to create a calm, introverted space for a family of three. The design process began with a commitment to a concept in which spatial organization and exterior expression are inextricably linked—where form follows function and the experience of dwelling defines the architecture.

The plan is arranged to prioritize privacy: all three bedrooms are located at the far end of the house to ensure separation from the semi-public living areas. At the heart of the composition, a filtered entrance acts as a transitional space—both functional and symbolic—mediating between the city and the intimate interior.

The façade employs a contrast of natural stone and copper-colored fiber cement panels, resulting in a visual language that blends modern clarity with flexibility. This material strategy not only offers visual richness but also gives the homeowner the option to alter the building's appearance over time.

Openings in the façade follow this material duality: some are framed in UPVC, while others are frameless and glazed with custom-fabricated, four-layer laminated glass, reinforcing the façade’s calm and seamless reading.

Interior lighting design echoes the architectural order of the exterior. A combination of linear lights and frameless recessed spotlights allows residents to fine-tune lighting levels while managing energy efficiency.

Paving design extends the visual rhythm of the façade onto the horizontal plane using in-situ terrazzo, scored with parallel cuts and finished with a protective resin layer to unify the textures.

At street level, the pedestrian entry is formed by a colonnade inspired by traditional Iranian porticoes. It not only provides solar shading during hot seasons but also defines and elevates the sense of arrival.
