Real Estate Office: A Sculpted Space in 20 Square Meters

This compact and narrow project, with a width of only 2.8 meters, is located along one of Lar's main streets. What initially seemed like spatial limitations became an opportunity to create meaningful and precise architecture.

The design concept draws inspiration from local architectural heritage—specifically the rectangular water cisterns (Āb-Anbār) of the Lar region, known for their arched roofs. This traditional typology was reinterpreted through a minimalist and contemporary lens, resulting in a unified volume that stands out in the urban fabric with its bold form and carefully selected materials.

Inside, symmetry, lighting, and material texture are composed with precision to create a calm, orderly, and impactful environment. Natural stone walls with dynamic veins serve as a rich backdrop for administrative activity, while the arched ceiling—accentuated by linear lighting above and below—forms the spatial backbone.

White river pebbles lining the base of the walls dissolve the boundary between architecture and nature, while also concealing floor drainage lines. Despite its modest scale, the project evokes a sense of monumentality—bridging traditional memory and innovative contemporary design.
