Located at a prominent intersection along Lar’s main north–south urban axis, the Roo-be-roo project establishes a strong urban presence through both its positioning and architectural articulation. Designed as a five-story commercial-service building, the program includes a retail ground floor with independent access, three upper levels dedicated to various service functions, and a basement level for parking.
The architectural language is defined by strong horizontal lines, which, combined with a material palette of contrasting dark and light stone, create a cohesive and contemporary façade. The building mass is articulated through calculated cutouts and projections, enhancing spatial depth, light access, and visual clarity.
A defining feature of the project is its north-facing terrace on the second floor—a semi-open space that serves both functional and urban purposes. The terrace’s overhead shading elements cast dynamic shadows throughout the day and, when illuminated at night, transform into a distinctive architectural gesture within the cityscape.
Roo-be-roo aims to redefine the typology of the local mixed-use commercial block—moving beyond pure functionality to create a dialogue with its urban context and offering a spatial experience that is both refined and responsive
